My contribution to the Michigan Republican Party’s Facebook. I’m too sick of this shit to come up with something more eloquent. Plus, my sex ed teacher made us repeat the words for reproductive organs so we’d get comfortable with them — if it works for junior high students, it should work for Republicans.
In case you haven’t heard:

A male Republican House leader in Michigan silenced two female Democratic state legislators on Thursday after the pair tried to advance a measure that would have reduced access to vasectomies.
While discussing a bill that would erode the availability of abortion, Reps. Barb Byrum and Lisa Brown introduced an amendment to apply the same regulations to vasectomies that GOP lawmakers wanted to add to abortion services. The debate grew heated, as Republicans sought to gravel down the women. Byrum was not permitted to speak in favor of the measure and Brown was repeatedly interrupted. “I’m flattered that you want to get in my vagina, but no means no,” she said. The next day both were silenced.

As Ari Adler, spokesman for House Speaker Jase Bolger (R) said, the women “will not be recognized to speak on the House floor today after being gaveled down for their comments and actions yesterday that failed to maintain the decorum of the House of Representatives.”
Well, now the Michigan GOP’s Facebook page is a thing of beauty. Detractors are definitely not silent. A few of the contributions:

Make your own contribution here. It’s not just a word, by the way. It’s another indication that the GOP is unwilling to talk about or name the reality of what they truly wish to legislate. It does not violate decorum to explain what the legislation means.
It’s honesty.

So do we get to call this Vagina-gate yet? Because I really want to. I really want that to exist.
